Here is what Yahweh says: “As new wine is found in the cluster, and someone says, ‘Don’t destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,’ that’s what I will do for my servants’ sake. I will not destroy them all. 9 I will raise up offspring from Jacob and from my chosen ones of Judah to possess my mountains, and my servants will settle there. 10 For my people who seek me, I will make the Plain of Sharon a pasture for flocks in the east, and in the west, the Valley of Trouble will be a resting place for cattle, for my people who seek me and no other god. Isaiah 65:8-10

I think of all the small clusters of New Wine that are being established everywhere. Home groups and prayer gatherings before work or school, teams that go out and care for the poor, or travel to another nation to bring God’s Good News. There is blessing in joining these small groups of like minded seekers of God who bless one another. God doesn’t criticize these groups but applauds what they are doing to gather around Him and His mission.

Isaiah pictures the people of God settling in the mountains. Mountains or high places were always used by pagan religions as a place of worship to idols. He sees these idols displaced by worshippers of the One True God.

God will not only bless His worshippers on the mountain but will give them the valleys as well for their livestock and farms. In other words, God will take care of those who seek Him and have no place in their lives for idols of any kind.
