Now I make fools of fortune-tellers and frustrate astrologers’ predictions. I confuse the wise, who think they know it all, and make their ‘knowledge’ into foolishness.
26 I confirm the word of my servants and fulfill the prophecies of my messengers. I say to Jerusalem, ‘Many people will live in you again,’ and to the cities of Judah, ‘I will raise up your ruins; you will be rebuilt!’ Isaiah 44:25-26
All knowledge and opinions that do not have God as their source are mere foolishness. All truth is God’s truth. Every effort to gain insight into the future is a waste of time and money and results in mere speculation and confusion.
When God prompts us with prophetic insight into the future or wisdom and understanding He also confirms it. What a contrast between foolish people looking everywhere for knowledge and the God who is omniscient offering it freely to the humble. This levels the playing field between IQs. It makes the simplest person with faith the smartest person in the room. You may not have the academic credentials to impress others, but if you stay close to God and humbly wait for Him, He will give you the words to speak and confirm them.

This is the simple man’s superpower!
