Behold—God is my salvation! I am confident, unafraid, and I will trust in you.” Yes! The Lord Yah is my might and my melody; he has become my salvation! 3 With triumphant joy you will drink deeply from the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:2-3
What would it look like to live life every day, confident and unafraid? Confident in who God made you to be? Unafraid of people, or their opinions? Not worried about financial crisis or job insecurity or our health, or the stock market, or our kids’ future?
Here, Isaiah gives us a great way to measure our level of faith or confidence in God. How much do we sing? Do you break into worship throughout the day? Are their particular songs that redirect you from worry to worship? If we can sing in a crisis, we will stay connected to God and experience joy in the midst of negative circumstances.
Never forget, we have “wells of salvation” within us, from which Jesus promised, an unending supply of salvation and joy to fill us and to pour out to others.
In ancient times, we sang,
“I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me,
It makes the lame to walk and the blind to see,
It opens prison doors and sets the captive free,
I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me.
Spring up O well with my soul,
Spring up O well and make me whole,
Spring up O well and give to me that life abundantly.”
Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” John 7:37-38 TPT
